Cindy + Riaan (Part 3)

Okay, okay.. so I told myself that I wasn't going to publish more than 2 seperate parts of Cindy and Riaan's engagement shoot - but then I finished editing these last few photos and I asked myself: How can I deny anyone the pleasure of looking at these two's completely lovestruck photos?

I couldn't... so I sincerely hope you enjoy my lack of restraint as this WILL be the last post about these two... seriously... ;)

Don't they just ROCK!?

Cindy + Riaan = Engaged! 24 October (Part 2)

Like a friend said to me the other day: A camera never lies. And that is why these images of Cindy and Riaan shows them just as they are = very in love!

On Saturday morning we continued their engagement shoot which had rained out the previous weekend and boy was the wait worth it!! We had the most incredible light and these two were game for anything!
They didn't even blink twice when they saw the car full of balloons I had brought along especially for their shoot ;)

Cindy en Riaan: Dankie dat ek julle op 'n naweek so vroeg uit die vere kon jaag - ek glo julle sal saamstem dat dit die mooite werd was ;)
Hoop julle geniet dit!

Cindy + Riaan = Engaged! - 17 October 2009 (Part 1)

I have been looking forward to Cindy and Riaan's engagement shoot for so long, and on Saturday morning I took to Botshabelo with my creative juices almost spilling out of my ears! This gorgeous couple will be getting married in March 2010 and I can't wait to photograph their wedding ;)

I offered to give them an engagement shoot to familiarize them with my style and to get used to being in front of the camera (which isn't as easy as it looks...).

But low and behold... a fabulous thunderstorm (which by the way hasn't been seen or heard in Middelburg for months!) decided to follow me there ;( As Cindy and Riaan arrived, they were greeted by threatening clouds and very loud thunder! We basically had about 15 minutes to get those long awaited snaps with a dark and sunless sky...

On the technical side, we got exactly 47 pictures (which aren't a lot) before something which closely resembled a TORNADO chased us back to our cars! Despite the threatening weather conditions and the three of us still getting to know each other, it was hard not to see how in love these two were!

*Cindy en Riaan: Baie dankie vir die blitsvinnige photoshoot! Julle twee is so gemaklik by mekaar dat dit my werk as fotograaf baie makliker maak ;)

So here's a very small preview of our 15 minute photoshoot ;) I'll be finishing their shoot on a much more sunny day!! ...hopefully ;)

Enjoy!

Hieronder is my gunsteling 2 foto's van die shoot! STUNNING!

To be continued.... ;)

Kaelin's Christening (4 October 2009)

On Sunday I had the privilege to photograph the christening of my cousin's little girl - Kaelin Rachel Botha.
This was the first time I ever professionaly photographed a christening and I am so grateful that I got this opportunity. It's very different from weddings where everyone knows there is bound to be a photographer and you kind of have "free reign" of the church (or so to speak)..

Duisende dankies Rachi dat ek jou pragtige dogtertjie kon afneem - sy is beautiful! Ek hoop jy geniet die 'preview' ;)

.. below is my favourite photo!

"Die papparazzi!"

I just couldn't resist taking a picture of Tian - Kaelin's cousin. He has THE most beautiful eyes ;) I would love to photograph this little guy sometime!
